Invitations to walk

The meaning of CAMINA in Spanish is an ‘invitation to walk’.  In this spirit, and as part of our participatory action research project we are encouraging individuals (and groups) to open an invitation to someone (or a number of someones) to walk and to talk, to see and to share.  A walking interview of sorts.

We'll share updates and highlights on this part of the research here.

Somebody to ask...

So our very first Invitation to Walk ended up taking place on a rickshaw...but it was full of interesting insights and patter nonetheless...

Here's a short preview of Isabel's Invitation to Walk with Bob Hamilton of City Strolls, Common Good Glasgow and the Radical Imagination Project (as well as a guest appearance from Tam the rickshaw man), travelling from Glasgow City Centre to Glasgow Green and talking (and riding) rickshaws, critical thinking, early/childhood education, the city as a playground for learning, engaging in social justice issues, critical education, propaganda and colonialism, among other topics!

Hopefully we will be able to share the full interview soon.

Let us know if you'd like to invite or be invited to walk!

"I think that's really the thing I would say, that when I was a kid there was always somebody to ask, and that's your education, that was my education in terms of curiosity and stuff like that..."

Bob Hamilton
